MTL is well known for its HART® connection solutions and now introduces its SIL3 rated Hart Multiplexer for use with shutdown systems.

The MTL4850 multiplexer can be applied alongside measurement and control equipment and within 4/20mA instrument loops that are providing a safety function.

Introducing this multiplexer for connection to SIL3 loops supports the expansion and continuous development of MTL’s functional safety product portfolio. As a Functional Safety Management Company certified to IEC 61508:2010, MTL demonstrates its competence to design and market products in accordance to the International standard, giving our customers confidence when using MTL products in a safety instrumented system (SIS).
